The Fairytale

Remember as a child when we used to believe in fairytales? When the beautiful princess who was locked away in the highest tower of the castle awaited her prince charming to rescue her and take her away to his kingdom so that they cud live happily ever after? Remember the thrill of finding a 10 rupees note under your pillow instead of your broken tooth and declaring to your parents with such triumph that the tooth fairy visited you? Remember when santa claus was real? When all these things were so close to our hearts that it was almost an inseparable part of us…so much so…u could almost taste it??

But eventually we grow up and we open our eyes and the fairytale is gone….

And while we still have some people we can trust….some turn strangers….some relationships thrive while some turn sour…some stay close…some drift away… you realize its all a part of growing up……and there is no fairytale except in the pages of a book…….

But the thing is, it’s really difficult to completely let go of that fairytale….of that ‘happily ever after’…coz somewhere deep within your heart you still have that tiny glimmer of hope that one day you would open your eyes and your tenderly treasured fairytale would come true….
